Help: Reporting and Moderation
What happens when you report something, and what to expect afterwards.
How to report
Every post, photo, reel, blog, comment, profile, message, marketplace listing and advert has a Report option in its menu. Choose the closest reason and add a sentence explaining the problem. A snapshot of the content is captured at the moment you report it, so moderators can still act if it is deleted afterwards.
What happens next
Reports go to a moderator, never to the person you reported. They are read in order of severity: anything involving a child, a credible threat, or an immediate risk to someone's safety is looked at first.
Possible outcomes are: no action, content removed, a warning, a feature restriction, a temporary suspension, or a permanent ban. Where the law requires it, we also report material to the relevant authorities.
Timescales
Most reports are resolved within one working day. Complex cases involving several accounts can take longer. Your reports page shows the current status of everything you have submitted, and updates as it changes.
When an account is suspended
A suspended account disappears from the site along with its posts, photos, comments and messages to other members. Nothing is deleted while an appeal is possible.
Appeals
If you believe a decision about your own content was wrong, reply to the moderation notice or open a support ticket. A different moderator reviews the appeal, and you are told the outcome and the reason.
False reports
Reporting is free and we would rather you reported something uncertain than stayed quiet. Deliberately mass-reporting someone you disagree with, however, is itself a breach of the community guidelines.
Emergencies
Bebo moderation is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, then report the content to us so the evidence is preserved.
