Help: Your Profile, Skins and Widgets

Your profile is the part of Bebo you own. Here is how every piece of it works.

Modules

A profile is built from modules: About me, Photos, Blog, Whiteboard, Comments, Top Friends, Widgets and more. Open Customise on your profile to reorder them by dragging, or hide any module you do not use. The layout you choose is what visitors see on both desktop and mobile.

Skins

A skin is a set of images applied to your profile at fixed sizes, exactly as the original Bebo did it:

Top module header: 760 x 40 pixels Top module background: 760 x 375 pixels Module header: 375 x 44 pixels Module footer: 375 x 50 pixels Poster: 760 pixels wide

Applying a skin. Open the Skin Store, preview any skin, and apply it. You can change as often as you like, and switching never affects your photos, posts or friends.

Making your own. Open the Skin Studio, upload an image into each slot, and the studio trims and resizes it to the exact dimensions. You can also set the page background, box transparency, text colours and whether your name shows over the header. Uploads are limited to 2 MB per slot.

Sharing. Save your skin and publish it to the Skin Store so other members can try it on their own profiles. Skins you publish carry your name.

Posters

A poster is the wide image across the top of your profile. Choose Customise, then Poster, upload an image, and drag it to position. The frame follows the image, so a short image does not leave an empty strip beneath it.

Widgets

Widgets sit in your sidebar: music player, countdown, visitor counter, quiz, poll, mood, trophies, guestbook, featured photos and a custom HTML and CSS module for anything else. Add, remove and reorder them from Customise.

Featured photos

Choose up to nine photos to pin to the top of your profile. Select the plus tile, pick a photo from your device or an existing album, and drag the tiles to reorder.

Custom CSS

For full control, the custom CSS panel applies your own styles to your profile only. Scripts are not permitted, and rules that would hide report or safety controls are ignored.

Colours and readability

If a skin makes your text hard to read, set text colours manually in the Skin Studio and raise the box opacity until the writing is comfortable to read on a phone in daylight.
