Help: Photos, Albums and Reels
How to upload, organise and share your media on Bebo.
Uploading photos
Upload from the Photos page, from a bulletin, or by dragging files straight onto the page. Images are resized in your browser before uploading, so large phone photos do not take long even on a slow connection. Each upload shows its own progress, and failed uploads can be retried individually.
Albums
Create an album, give it a title and a description, and set its audience: public, buddies or only me. Photos can be moved between albums, reordered, and given captions. Selecting the cover photo sets what appears on your profile.
Multi-photo posts
Attach several photos to one bulletin and they are laid out as a collage — two, three, four, or five and more with a count on the last tile. Opening one photo starts a gallery you can swipe through on a phone, with arrows and a counter on desktop.
Tagging
Tag a buddy in a photo and it appears on their profile too, subject to their settings. You can remove a tag of yourself at any time.
Reels
Reels are short vertical videos. Record one in the browser or upload an existing clip. Every reel is converted to a widely compatible format automatically, so it plays on old phones as well as new ones — this happens on your device and a progress bar shows how far along it is.
Sound. Reels play with sound. If your browser blocks sound until you interact with the page, a tap to play with sound prompt appears once, and after that everything plays normally.
Locked media
If you have monetisation enabled, you can lock a photo, album or reel behind a one-off payment. Locked files are stored privately: they are not included in feeds, not listed in search, and are only ever delivered to someone who has paid.
Storage and formats
We accept JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF for images, and MP4, MOV and WebM for video. The maximum size for a single video is shown on the upload panel.
Deleting
Deleting a photo or reel removes it from your profile immediately. Deleted items are kept briefly in your archive in case you change your mind, then permanently removed.
