Help: Advertising on Bebo
Anyone can advertise on Bebo. This guide explains how it works from creation to reporting.
Creating a campaign
Open the ads page, choose Create advert, and provide:
A headline and short body text. An image or a short video. A destination — a link, a Bebo page, a group or an event. A daily or total budget and a run period.
Paying
Payment is taken by debit or credit card when you submit the campaign. Prices are in pounds sterling and shown in full before you confirm. Nothing is charged if the advert is rejected — the authorisation is released.
Review
Every advert is reviewed by a moderator before it can appear. Review usually takes less than one working day. Adverts must follow the community guidelines, must not mislead about the product or the destination, and must not target or exclude people unfairly.
If your advert is rejected, the notice explains the reason. You can edit and resubmit without paying again.
Where adverts appear
Approved adverts appear in members' timelines, marked Sponsored at the top, and are shown at a frequency limited so no one sees the same advert repeatedly.
Reading your results
Your ads page shows, for each campaign, impressions, clicks, click-through rate and spend, with a thirty-day chart and a lifetime total. Figures update through the day.
Pausing and stopping
You can pause a campaign at any time and unspent budget stops being used. Administrators can also pause or remove an advert if it breaches the rules after approval.
What is not accepted
Adult content, gambling aimed at under 18s, weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, get-rich-quick schemes, cryptocurrency speculation, misleading health claims, and anything requiring a licence you do not hold.
